Up until recently we were convinced that children should be at home with their mother until they are three. When our Ester was two we drove from one activity to another so that she could be with children her own age, something she yearned for. That is when we realised that in order to be happy and to develop she also needs experiences that we just cannot give her at home. She joined a Montessori nursery school and day after day she blossomed right in front of our eyes – she obtained self-confidence and rejoiced at everything she could now do by herself.
As soon as she learned how to walk Ester’s younger sister Rebeka started running after her to the nursery school. Since there was no room in Ester’s school, we looked elsewhere. Together with Monika Němcová, a Montessori teacher who works with children from the tiniest of infants up and who is the mother of her preschooler Vavřinec, we started to dream about a school that we would like for our children. About a school where the children are partners for the teachers, where freedom resonates with self-respect and respect to others and the surroundings. About a school where the children and teachers from various countries and cultures speak different languages. About a school with a view of the countryside from the windows. About a school, where the atmosphere reminds you of home and where there is something for the whole family, whether it is for parents, younger and older siblings and even those yet to be born. The dream has come true and now it is opening up for you and your children.
